Athletic News

John Gunderson has asked to retire from his duties as Athletic Director at the conclusion of this academic year.  We thank John for his 5 years of service to St. Joseph Catholic School.  Mr. Gunderson was instrumental in the transition from the Metro Catholic Youth League to the Iowa High School Athleic Association and Union.  His work and dedication to the athletic program will certainly be missed.

I am also happy to announce at this time the appointment of Jeff Lippert to the role of Athletic Director.  Jeff and his wife Amy have three boys who are currently students at St. Joseph Catholic School.  Jeff works full time at College Community School District as a kindergarten teacher and also as the head sophomore basketball coach.  Please extend Jeff a warm welcome!

Snow Make-Up Days

Please note that school will be in session all day on Friday and half-day on Monday to make up days missed because of snow.  Spring break begins on Monday afternoon!  Enjoy this much deserved time off!

Congratulations Kayla!

Congratulations to Kayla Seymour (5) who was the winner of the "What the Flag Means to Me" essay contest sponsored by the Marion American Legion Post.  Kayla was honored on Monday with a presentation by the Commander of the American Legion in her classroom.
