Library Book Circulation Policy 

Kindergarten

Students in kindergarten will start the year by checking out only one library book. Mid year, the policy will change to permit them to check out 2 books. Books are due 1 week after check out. Books may be renewed upon request. 

First through Fifth Grade

Students in 1^st through 5th grade check out 2 books each week. Both books are due 1 week after check out. Books may be renewed upon request.

Sixth through Eighth Grade

Students in 6th through 8^th grade may check out 3 books each week. Books are due 1 week after check out. Books may be renewed upon request.

Overdue Notices

There are no fines assessed for overdue materials. If the material is not returned in the allotted time, an overdue notification will be sent home to the student’s family. If the material is not needed by another person an extension may be made. If a student has an overdue book, he/she will not be able to check out again until it is returned.

 Lost or Damaged Books

If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the student will be charged the replacement cost of the book. If there are minor repairs needed to books, they will be made by the librarian at no charge to the student.
