SJW #29, April 8, 2010

The Iowa Skippers performed for our students. Maria Schussler, 6th grade student at St. Joe's is a member of their team.

Congratulations St. Joseph Catholic School!

If you had the opportunity to see a copy of the Cedar Rapids Gazette on Sunday, you probably weren't surprised to see that the students at St. Joseph Catholic School once again posted scores that we can really be proud of!  The test scores that are reported in the Gazette are a little different than have been previously reported.  In the past, the scores that were reported consisted of the Composite score, Iowa Percentile Ranking, School Norms.  This is essentially an average of the entire battery of tests.

Because many schools do not use the Iowa Tests, or do not complete the entire Battery, the Gazette now relies on the Core total score, which are an average of the Reading, Language and Math Tests (without the Math Computation Test).  A complete copy of the analysis of the tests can be found here.

Please keep Diane Evans, mom of our student Blake Evans in your prayers. She has surgery next week.
