 Governor Culver's wife, Mari Culver came to speak to the kids this week. Mrs. Culver is a SJCS alum!

Resignation

It is with regret that I must inform you that Mr. Mike Hayek has submitted his resignation at the conclusion of this academic year.  We wish Mr. Hayek all the best in his future endeavors.  The search to replace Mr. Hayek will begin immediately.

I would like to thank the Chargers Organization and the entire St. Joseph Catholic School community for remembering your teachers this week.  I overheard one faculty member in the lounge this week say that this "was the best week ever".  Thank you for remembering the teachers this week, they truly do appreciate the recognition.

Arts Festival is tomorrow!

The Arts Festival is tomorrow night from 5-8 p.m. We hope you can join us! If you plan on participating in the tye dying event, please be sure you bring a t-shirt with you. Reminder that for the music performance tomorrow night, students should arrive in the gym at least five minutes before their performance time. The schedule is as follows:  Jazz Band performs at 5:30, Kindergarten performs at 5:50, First grade performs at 6:00, Second grade performs at 6:10, Third grade performs at 6:20, Fourth grade performs at 6:30, Fifth grade performs at 6:40, Major Faith (Elementary Choir) performs at 6:50, Elementary School Concert Band performs at 7:00, Center Stage LaSalle Show Choir performs at 7:10, Middle School Concert Band performs at 7:25 and the Middle School Choir performs at 7:45. We'll see you there!

May Crowning & Rosary

Next week, May 11-13 we will have a very special event planned for your children. We will be having a May Crowning & Rosary to honor Mary, the mother of Jesus. The children will be helping to lead the Rosary. We would love for you all to join us if you are able. The times, dates and locations are as follows: Tuesday, May 11th, Preschool through second grade will be at 8:15 a.m. near the basketball court behind the school. Wednesday, May 12th will be the Middle School students after Mass at approximately 9:15 a.m. in the Church and on Thursday, May 13th the third through fifth grade will be at 8:15 a.m. near the basketball court behind the school.
