Elementary (K-5)
Each grade has many individual goals and objectives in teaching the children of St. Joseph Catholic School. Below are some overall goals. For more specific information on learning directives, click on the team link.
Kindergarten Goals
- Master necessary social relationships based in Christian values.
- Promote self-awareness and independence with each child.
- Provide an environment that allows the child to learn and discover.
Grades 1 and 2 Goals
- Promote responsible Christian behavior
- Gain/Maintain a positive self-concept
- Provide a well-rounded curriculum
- Create a warm environment for learning
- Teach independent study skills

- Develop knowledge of Christian principles and their application to everyday life
- Provide a well rounded curriculum and a warm environment for learning
- Provide ongoing opportunities to develop confidence and self-worth
- Develop problem solving skills throughout the curriculum
- Provide students with study skills and organization skills
- Encourage independent study skills for each child
