Drop Off Zone

Please remember not to park in the "drop-off" zone outside the front of our building on 14th Street. This is causing problems for several of our parents that are strictly dropping off their children and heading to work or home. Thank you for your cooperation!

Welcome back to school!  We are excited to begin the 2010-2011 school year.  We look forward to a year of learning about our relationship with God, academics, and how to work respectfully with each other.  To begin the school year, our school staff participated in a Collaboration Day at Prairiewoods Franciscan Spirituality Center that prepared us for a year of collegiality and focus on quality Catholic education.  Our staff did take time out for a few group photos!

St. Joseph Second Grade Celebrates the sacrament of First Eucharist-Traditionally the second grade student of St. Joseph Parish celebrate First Communion during the Second and Third Sunday of Easter.  This year, 76 second grade students received First Commuion.  The banners pictured above represent each student who celebrated in our parish.   Every square on the banner was created by a second grade student who either participates in the Religious Education program on Wednesday evening or in the Catholic school program during the day.  While the significance of the banner is to represent the Universal Church, they also serve as a reminder of the unity that exists in our own parish.  Congratulations to all our second graders, and a special thank you to all the teachers who helped prepare our youngsters for this very important Sacrament of Initiation.
